Become a CAHR/CCPE Certified Market Access Professional

CAHR is very excited to announce the creation of a new professional Certification program for our members, developed by a team of respected and experienced leaders in the field of market access in concert with the Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (CCPE). CCPE is the accreditation body for Innovative Medicines in Canada member company employees (Code of Ethical Practices 4.2.3.2). CCPE works to ensure that our certification program delivers credible, meaningful proof of your commitment to enhancing your professional abilities).

The new Certification program allows you to be recognized for the unique skill set that defines the role of the modern market access professional. Our program is comprehensive and complete, encompassing a broad range of subjects of direct relevance to your daily activities.

Successful completion of the program qualifies you as a Certified Market Access Professional. Your academic achievement will be verifiable through either CCPE or CAHR.

Certification Requirements

The program combines the independent learning process of CCPE’s module-based approach with CAHR’s educational conferences.

  • CCPE Pharmaceutical Market Access in Canada course: provides a comprehensive guide to the factors affecting the market access environment in Canada. The course includes a 200-page binder of information, which will require approximately 20 hours of study to complete.*
  • CAHR Market Access 101 (MA101) Conference: provides an introduction to the various fields of activity involved in market access, from clinical trials to budget impact analysis and government relations.
  • CAHR Market Access 201 (MA201) Conference: expands upon the Market Access 101 course information and takes its ideas further, providing context and insight to better understand the issues facing market access professionals.

Participants can sign up at any time and can start with the CCPE courseware, which can be completed from the comfort of your home. The CCPE materials include an authoritative guide to every aspect of the market access and reimbursement environment, with online testing at your convenience. Attendance at CAHR’s MA101 and MA201 is required to complete the course, but no testing will be conducted on the material covered at these conferences.
